Dr Vicky Coyle

Vicky Coyle is a professor of medical oncology in Queen’s University Belfast and a consultant medical oncologist in the Belfast HSC Trust. Her clinical practice has a focus on early phase cancer clinical trials and she leads the regional cancer early phase trials clinical service in Northern Ireland and the Belfast Experimental Cancer Medicine Centre.

She also has an active clinical practice in colorectal cancer with an associated clinical trial portfolio and an interest in translational and discovery research in colorectal cancer focusing on mechanisms of treatment response and resistance to standard of care therapies. Her academic research has been supported by funding from the UK National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR), the NI Public Health Agency and Cancer Research UK (CRUK).
