Professor Paddy Johnston was recognised as a leading international expert in cancer research and shaper of public policy in the fight against cancer. He was instrumental in setting up the All Ireland Cancer Consortium, bringing together official representatives from both the Republic and Northern Ireland and the USA to reduce cancer incidence and mortality. His main research activity focused on understanding drug resistance in Gastro-intestinal Cancers. We hope that this annual Research Award will serve as an enduring legacy of the tireless work and dedication which Paddy brought to his medical career.
The deadline for submission is Tuesday 8th October 2024 and should be emailed to kelly@globalteamwork.ie
